Close friend and fellow band member Lyn Bowtell has started the Glen Hannah Appeal through Support Act, a charity that provides financial assistance to Australian musicians.
It's something Hannah himself was passionate about in life, Bowtell said.
"Honestly it got to the second day after we lost Glen and there was so much food and such an outpouring," she said.
"I thought there has to be a way other than flowers or food that people could contribute that would be more practical."
Hannah passed away suddenly last week, leaving behind his wife and two daughters, Tia and Ellie.
With the support of Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Shane Nicholson and a host of others, Hannah's band The Faceless Men recorded From the Back Room and donated all proceeds to Support Act. It's beautiful to continue his legacy, Bowtell said.

"Glen was brilliant at everything he did, he was one of those people who always gave you extra fries," she said. "No matter how big or small he had an incredible sense of pride in his work.
"Felicity is an incredible woman, of course when it happened she was in a state of shock.
"She's not broken; this has been the most incredibly traumatic time for her and the girls but she's such a kind, strong, sensitive person and she's talking through her grief with the people around her."
