More than 250 people registered for the event which replaced the long-held community organised fundraiser.
Teacher Heath Pett said there was a strong sense of solidarity among the school community bringing together kids across all year groups for a common cause.

He made special mention of the sports council for its efforts.
"I struggled to get them to leave, they stuck around for as long as possible," he said.
With a number of sponsors coming on board, he was confident the school would surpass its $5000 fundraising goal. The high school took on the event after the Cancer Council revealed it wouldn't organise a Tamworth relay in 2019.
