The women's team began the double-header with a tough 93-67 loss to the Coffs Harbour Suns.
Emily Tudman was the Thunderbolts' top scorer in the 26-point loss, finishing the game with 18 points.
Anika Earsman was the team's next-best scorer with 14 points.

In the second game of the night, the men turned the Thunderbolts' fortunes around, easily accounting for the Springwood Scorchers.
All 12 of the Thunderbolts players scored in the 100-47 victory, with Rhys Chillingworth and Riley Murphy the team's top scorers with 12 points each.
The win was Tamworth's eighth of the season and places them second on the Waratah League ladder, two games behind the Hills Hornets.
Meanwhile, the loss sees the women's team remain in second place on the ladder, three games behind the Suns.
