Fortunately the brand and the service will continue, with Rusty Russell of Double R Equipment stepping up to take over the business, following Susan Goodwin, and Peter and Mark Kenny deciding to sell the third generation business, and end a 56 year family partnership.
It will be mixed emotions for Mrs Goodwin, who, like her partners, has a real sentimental attachment to the business, the products, the staff and a long list of customers spread all over the New England North West.
"It will be tough to leave after 31 years," she said.
"I had decided that I was ready to retire, and the opportunity presented itself for somebody to buy the business."

New owner, Mr Russell, has earned a reputation for loyalty to staff and customers, as well as expertise, which played a major role in the local firms decision to sell.
"I have been very lucky to have some very loyal staff over the years," Ms Goodwin said.
"We have 16 at the moment with 95 years of service between them, and Rusty has given all of them an opportunity to start with him.
"He is also taking on the New Holland franchise, so we know that our customers will also be getting looked after which was really important for us.
"We wish him well and hope the customers support him like they have us."
Goodwin Kenny originally started as a Fiat dealership in 1962, before shifting to New Holland in 1991.
