Dubbo will host their big Carnival of Cups meeting on Friday night and good luck to Tamworth trainers Stuart Glasby and Sam Ison who will be trying their hardest in the Club Dubbo Garrard's Golden Gig Final with the chance to take home a brand-new gig as the trophy.
Passage into the $14,000 final came about at the last Tamworth meeting when Redbank Olivia from the Glasby stables had a narrow winning margin of half head over Roll With Tricky from the Ison stables.
Roll With Tricky is in good form for owner Naomi Newman with the feature race being one of the biggest racing engagements to date for her pacer.
Ison contested the 2018 final with Bassey but had no luck in running.

Well wishes go out this week to Hunter Valley reinsman Michael Formosa. The 49-year-old who frequents the Tamworth harness meetings, showed everyone just how resilient he is after a race fall in the second event at Newcastle last Saturday night when flung from the gig.
Formosa was passed fit to continue driving for the night. "I got winded a bit and no matter how bad the fall is, it always hurts, so I just drove the rest of the night," Formosa said. "But when I got home, I couldn't get out of the truck, so I thought I better go and get it checked out."
Formosa made it to the Maitland Hospital and is now on the sidelines suffering with broken ribs!
Michael fulfilled his driving engagements at the meeting in driving Si Si Senor in the race following the fall and Velocity Stride in the last and is expected to be out of the sulky for three to six weeks. It was his first fracture from a race fall since he needed surgery on his broken neck in 1998.
Tom Ison continued on from his four winning drives at last week's Tamworth harness meeting when he rocketed home with yet another winner at the Maitland meeting on Monday afternoon behind the Steve Coleman trained La Patata which paid $17 for the win.
Ison will return to the Tamworth meeting on Sunday afternoon to drive another six runners on the nine-event card with the first race to kick off at 12.10pm.
