On Tuesday June 11 the aisle of St John's Church will become the hottest catwalk in the North West, as the team of volunteers that tirelessly sort and price clothes every week, take on the glamour of the runway according to manager Carol Brice.

"There is no imported talent - the models are our own homegrown talented team," she said.

"They will be modelling a variety of the beautiful clothing we always have at the op-shop, and the clothes are all for sale on the day as well."

The event is being used to showcase the array of clothing and options available in second hand clothing stores, and to change the perspective that many people have around op-shops and second hand stores.

"We always look after people in need, but the op-shop is for everyone," Ms Brice said.

"We do bags of clothes everyday for $8, but we also have a lot of designer labels always coming in, and every other type of clothing as well.

"It is also contributing to recycling and reuse."

The St John's Op-Shop Fashion Parade will be held in the church on June 11 at 1.30pm, with the first model to hit the spotlight at 2pm.

Entry is $5 per person and includes afternoon tea, while the op-shop will open following the parade, with all items for sale.
