New England Rugby Union
The Tamworth Rugby Union Sporting Club continued its winning start to the season by picking up a 42-17 win over the Barbarians.
Harry Snook proved to be a shining beckon on debut for the Magpies, scoring 37 of his side's 42 points.
In the day's first women's game, the Barbets proved too strong for the Magpies recording a 41 to 5 win, before scoring a 29-0 win in the second game.
The Magpies also tasted success in second grade, picking up a 28-25 win, while Robb proved too good for Albies winning 31-17.
Earlier in the day, Robb impressed during their annual parents day with a 36-7 win over St Albert's
In the women's action, Robb was defeated by Albies 26-0 in the second game, while also going down 20-12 in the first game.
In third grade, Robb and Albies drew 24-24, Tamworth claimed a forfeit win over Barbarians and Glen Innes claimed a 32-12 win over the Armidale Blues.
AFL North West
An undermanned Gunnedah Bulldogs outfit has kept the side's winning start to the season going, knocking off the Moree Suns at Taylor Oval 19-15-129 to 9-11-65.
Meanwhile, The New England Nomads opened their account in a thriller against the Tamworth Kangaroos. The Nomads went on to win 101-90.
In the day's junior action, the Tamworth Roosters defeated the New England Nomads 11-11-77 to 9-17-71, while the Moree Suns defeated the Inverell Saints 81-66.
The Tamworth Roos women's team continued their winning ways defeating the New England Nomads 8-11-59 to 3-8-26.
The Tamworth Swans had the bye, while Narrabri have withdrawn from the competition handing the Inverell Saints a forfeit win.
Group 4
The Dungowan Cowboys claimed their fist win for the year, defeating the Gunnedah Bulldogs 26-16 at Gunnedah.
The North Tamworth Bears recorded their biggest win for the season thus far, thrashing the Boggabri Roos 84-0.
Meanwhile, the Werris Creek Magpies defeated the Kootingal-Moonbi Roosters 40-10.
