Competing in Sydney this week, the 17-year old won gold in the 17&O 200 metre individual medley.
He was already a state champion in the event after finishing first at the NSW senior state age championships back in December.
It proved a springboard to a hugely successful season that culminated at last month's Australian Age Championships, where Roberts won bronze in the individual medley and 200m breaststroke.
He had a typically busy program at the All Schools and medalled in five of his nine events, picking up silver in the 200m breaststroke, and bronze in both the 50m and 100m breaststroke and 400m individual medley.
Fellow Shark Brinez Lantz also competed in Sydney and swam well, placing seventh in his 15-16 200m breaststroke, 16-years 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.
