TAMWORTH mums and families braved a brisk morning to pound the pavement to raise money for breast cancer research as part of the nationwide Mother's Day Classic.
Hundreds were expected to turn out for the Mother's Day fun run which has been running in Tamworth since at least 2013.
Doing away with the typical breakfast in bed, or even a sleep-in, many mums and their families went for a jog around the Peel River on Sunday morning.
Over the past 22 years, the Mother's Day Classic has donated over $35 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
