The hooker has missed all but one of the Pirates games this year with a hamstring injury.
With the Pirates losing three of their opening four matches, Collins said he was keen to help turn the team's fortunes around.
"It hasn't been the best start to the season but there is a long way to go yet," Collins said.
"I'm keen to get back into it and hopefully we should have a few of our combinations back this week."

Collins will be among several inclusions for the Pirates on Saturday, with his brothers Sam and Andrew set to return in reserve grade.
"It's pretty unusual to have all three of us come back at once, but it's great it worked out that way," he said.
"Scone are a really tough team and we never underestimate them.
"We are a bit of a new-look team but hopefully we can get things back on track this weekend against Scone."
The Pirates will travel to Scone looking to score their second victory of the season.
"Last year a fair few of our older heads hung their boots up and retired," Collins said.
"So, a few of our younger guys like Jye Patterson at 10 have really stepped up, which is great to see.
"Hopefully we can see more of that as the season rolls on."
Collins said he was confident his side could still make the finals, despite the poor start to the season.
"There is still a long way to go in the season," he said.
"I really think for us it is about getting our combinations right and our ruck work.
"If we can do that starting this weekend against Scone, then I don't see any reason why we can't go deep into the season.
"We certainly have the talent to do it."
