The meeting is the next step in the approvals process after the NSW Department of Planning & Environment assessed the project as "approvable", subject to some conditions, in mid-April.
The meeting will be held in Smithurst Theatre, Gunnedah Civic Centre, and people wishing to speak for or against the project are being invited to register by May 24.

The 253ha, 110MW solar farm is slated for a site 12km east of town, one of several projects in development by company Overland Sun Farming across Australia.
Considered a state-significant development, the project has also had more than 25 public objections, which makes the IPC the decision-maker.
The IPC has been a regular visitor to the Gunnedah area, having held public meetings and hearings on Photon Energy's Gunnedah Solar Farm, Boggabri Coal Mine and Whitehaven Coal's Vickery extension in recent months.
Speakers at the June 4 meeting on Orange Grove Sun Farm must complete a registration form at the IPC website.
Written comments can also be made up to one week after the meeting.
