Both the Boomerangs and Magpies are the two remaining undefeated teams in the competition, the there's no doubt the Magpies will be out for revenge after falling just eight points short of a title in the 2018 grand final.
The Boomerangs are coming off a 50-24 win over Armidale while the Magpies scored three tries in the final 10 minutes to run away with a 46-30 victory over the Boars.
Boomerangs coach Chris Binge is focused on constantly improving his team and he knows they need to be better if they're going to come away with a win this weekend.
"We're going to be working hard on our defensive efforts. Defensively is where we think we're going to have the edge," Binge said.
"Glen Innes, I don't know whether they like the trip to Moree. We're going to make it as uncomfortable as we can and we can only do that if we play to our game plan."
"They're a big side. Their coach (Nick Say), he's going to be making sure they're coming here with a big week behind them."
Binge isn't too worried about what the Magpies will bring, he's just focused on making sure his side is ready to go.
"It's just making sure we're out on the day and making sure we get the little things right," he said.
"They're a strong club, a strong side and we're aware of that and we just need to make sure we don't let our intensity drop off."
The Boomerangs league tag side will look to bounce back after a loss to Armidale last week. The Magpies are coming off a loss against the Boars.
League tag will kick off at 12pm with the A-grade match beginning at 1.15pm.

After winning the competition in 2018, the Boomerangs are still hard at work to get their under-18s side up and running, and while they won't be able to field a team this weekend, there are still positive signs.
With the Barwon Darling competition folding, there are a number of Mungindi players who are still keen to play.
"We're just working out the details now from Mungindi," Boomerangs president Mitchell Johnson said.
"They had probably half a dozen kids out there who wanted to play. That would then give us enough to put a team in the competition.
"Next week we've got a bye so we're hoping to have it all finalised by the end of next week."
Johnson has spoken to Group 19 president Terry Carson who is supportive of the idea if they can get the numbers.
Johnson said there's still a few things to work out, particularly the issues of travel.
"Hopefully if these kids are keen we can work something out for them to help them travel in to town," he said.
"There will be a fair bit of travel but it would be a good win for the comp if we can get the side running."
