A small percentage of farming families at the school have felt the impact of drought themselves, principal Neshelle Battle said.
"I know that some families with stock on the properties have had to de-stock or move their crop elsewhere.
"We've been one of the schools that has declined by about 30 enrolments that we weren't expecting because families moved away.
"So that's the impact it's had on us."
The fundraiser was for national Adopt a Farmer Day that raises funds for rural aid to distribute $100 gift cards to thousands of farmers doing it tough.

Hearing the stories about what farmers were going through was sad, Year 6 school leader Amity Smith said.
"There hasn't been rain for a long time and lots of things are dying off because of a lack of water," she said.
"It makes me feel really sad for them and I want to do more to help."
The students raised $645 through gold coin donations on Wednesday.
