The show team exhibited three purebred Limousin steers, bred by Phil and Barbara Bricknell of King Creek Limousins at Currabubula, and a murray grey/charolais trade steer.
In the show cattle team, Laura George took out the reserve champion school parader title, and Ayesha Menzies placed third in her ASC state final parader class.
The steer, King Creek Sarge, also won the middleweight school steer class; trade steer Ralph came sixth in his class. But it was in the carcase classes the steers really shone.

King Creek Sarge was the best middleweight school carcase, winning 90 points and a gold medal - one of only four awarded to the 249 steers competing. He also won the champion school carcase award and the NSW Farmers Perpetual Trophy.
In the open classes, steers Stan and Stewart competed in the heavy middleweight class 10, taking out first and second place in the carcase section with 88 and 86 points respectively and both earning bronze medals.
In the group placings, Oxley High School and King Creek Limousins' three purebred steers won first place in the breeders group and tied for second in the school group.
To add to this success, Year 11 student Mitchell Atkins took out first place in the dairy paraders and will represent NSW at the national finals. He also secured the champion dairy junior judge award for under-25-year-olds.
Teacher Libby Affleck said the carcase results were particularly pleasing to the team: "[That's] where it counts, as it is an objective measurement of meat quality."
She has been running the Oxley show cattle team since 2012 and said the teens were now looking forward their next competition in October at Scone's Beef Bonanza.
"[The school team] has opened up many opportunities for Oxley students to meet like-minded young people from all over NSW and become involved in the cattle industry," Mrs Affleck said.
