Almost 240 girls and boys from seven schools took part in under 15s and opens competitions for boys and girls, vying for selection for NCIS boys and girls teams to compete at the Combined Independent School's championships in Sydney later this month.
In the boys divisions, Bishop Druitt won all their matches, defeating Lindesfarne Anglican Grammar School (Tweed Heads) 3-1 in the opens and Emmanuel Anglican College (Ballina) 3-1 in the under 15s.
The girls' finals were a little tighter, defeating Lindesfarne 1-0 in the opens, while in the under 15s they took the points against Emmanuel Anglican College.
The senior TAS boys team won both pool matches before going down to Bishop Druitt 7-0 in the semis. Individual player form still impressed selectors, with Mehdi Ahsan, Emerson Browning and Keanu Rhoades making the NCIS rep team.
