Political party: Independent
Age: 43
Residence: Presently live dead smack bang in the middle of the New England. Invergowrie, Uralla NSW.
What do you do for a living?
Councillor of Uralla Shire Council, secretary of Uralla Shire Show Committee, 355 Bundarra Hall delegate, Arts North West delegate, Australia Day Committee delegate, landscape gardener/business owner-operator.
How long have you lived in the New England electorate?
I have lived in the New England electorate for 10 years.
What is the best part of living in the New England electorate?
The best part of living in the New England electorate is the cool climate, natural surrounds, abundance of wildlife and community spirit, diversity in farming, excellence in education, availability of indoor sporting facilities and being relatively central to available services.
Why are you running for the federal seat of New England?
I am running for the federal seat of the New England electorate largely in part because the electorate is presently underrepresented and mostly misrepresented. Community growth has stunted and overall vision for growth lacking by the present leadership. Federally speaking I have identified varying cost shifting aspects placed on local councils. I understand the need for water reform. There is a lack of communications with local invested knowledge and a lack of government leadership in international affairs.
Why are you qualified to be the elected member for New England?
Over the years have affiliated largely with community groups throughout the region including - but not limited to - farming, horse riding, music, UNE, TAFE, sports, education, child care, hospitality, industry, research and development in many and varied capacities. Most positions have been in the capacity as volunteer, delegate, director, secretary, coach, referee and trainer, working together to achieve better, more successful outcomes.
In each capacity I have been useful in identifying business structure weaknesses and instrumental in providing continued prosperous and successful outcomes. During this time I have raised four young children, who have each achieved and continue to achieve in their individual endeavours, whilst being a business owner operator of a highly successful local landscaping and gardening service.
In your opinion, what are the most pressing issues facing the New England electorate?
Pressing issues presently of the New England are lack of service provisions in each sector and identifying diverse and individual needs for each region. Road neglect, lack of tourism connectivity, soil health and under-representation of farmers in identifying diverse needs to prosper under one size fits all legislative framework. Idle youth, business taxes for regional NSW and lack of infrastructure both large and small, and most importantly and fundamentally missing from this region is goals and vision for a more successful and abundant outcome.
What is your message to the voters?
By voting number one Natasha Ledger for the New England. You are voting for a dynamic business entrepreneur, gardener extraordinaire, successful empty nester, who is ready and willing to commit 100 percent to the region with experience in international relations and local level politics, I have got you covered.
