Q and A with Justin Pay
NDL: As a team, what key areas do you want to improve upon from 2018?
JP: The key for our success was our discipline and consistency. So we're just looking to improve on those things again and take it to the next level.
NDL: Who has been your most improved player?
JP: That's a bit of a tough one. Those juniors [Lachlan Martin and Will Mozzell] they're certainly right up there. They've come right along after training with the NIAS squad.
NDL: What will be your team's strengths this season?
JP: Again our structure last year is what got us over the line. We're hoping that will come through again.
NDL: Who is the team to beat in 2019 and why?
JP: I'd say Gunnedah. They were a pretty close runner-up last year. They've then come out and won the pre-season comp so they'd be the team to beat with their experience and players in key positions.
