Election madness
Has Chris Bowen the Shadow Treasurer ever run a business? Cannot find any evidence of such in his resume, being a political staffer and union officer is no qualification.

What hope has he got trying to run the country with no commercial experience? Judging on his budget reply he has no idea on financial matters.
Just like Rudd/Gillard who inherited a surplus of $17 billion and net assets of $29 billion, hopeless fiscal management by the ALP/Gillard saw PM Abbott inherited a $19 billion deficit and net debt of $153 billion that PM Turnbull is still reducing.
Penny Wong promises $50 billion in overseas aid, what about some Australian aid-we need inland dams, roads and bridges, railways, hospital and schools here - we have no obligation to incompetent corrupt overseas governments.
Fanciful billions are being promised by Bill Shorten that we cannot afford, his grossly unrealistic wonderland promises can only be met by further massive deb/interest that your grandchildren will have to pay off.
Australia cannot afford these mad election promises, on top of that he wants to charge us for natural climatic changes that have occurred since time began.
Have they gone completely mad?

I am ex 12/16 HRL member that lives in Sydney and travels up to Tamworth then out to Manilla for dawn services for last few years.
I am absolutely disgusted in way ADF and 12/16 HRL has gone about this and they wonder why there numbers are down in unit because they don't show enough support to local communities. It's a 100 year anniversary for Manilla this year and not to have 12/16 HRL there to show respect to those fallen soldiers is a disgrace. They should be ashamed of themselves and shamed of not doing more to help support our local communities especially Manila and Tamworth a main regional part of 12/16 HRLl when I was in army. We always were proud to be a part of it lots of rehearsals on Tuesday nights leading up to big day remembering those who have fought to keep us free. Without their sacrifice where would we be now.
I hate to see in near future what or if we will have any support by ADF like navy can't march or do dawn service because it's to dark!! Seriously this government and military is becoming a joke and foremost embarrassment to all servicing and ex servicemen and women from past to present. My great uncle would be turning in his grave knowing this is happening on the day of all days ANZAC DAY.

Water is a hot topic
Water should remain the hot topic until the problem is fixed.
Water is an essential commodity for survival so an essential service regardless as to whether it is profitable or not.
What is it that politicians do not understand that we are one of the driest continents on earth and this has always been the case and has not just happened.
Decisions are made on expenditure every year but there is never enough attention paid to water. Already some towns are out of water or close to it.
Can you imagine the outcry if a city the size of Tamworth ran out of water. We went close in the last drought when it got down to thirteen percent. Fortunately we had flood rain one night and follow up that filled the dam.
The long range forecast seems to be indicating more dry weather. Fortunately Chaffey Dam was upgraded but seemingly not enough.
For as long as I can remember Tamworth's biggest impediment to growth has been water so why hasn't it been fixed.
They can pull down and rebuild stadiums that were not obsolete or essential and ignore essential services such as water. Not to mention that we have to live in desert like conditions to try and stretch the supply.
Enough is enough, if you agree speak up because silence will only get more of the same inaction.
We were supposed to have enough water for ten years after the Chaffey Dam upgrade but with the combination of the draw of water from the State Government, Local Government usage and prolonged drought here we are struggling again.
Join the call to "FIX OUR WATER" now.
