For Wests Tigers' Esan Marsters, April 5 was one of them.
The centre's radar was out of whack as Marsters failed to kick a conversion against the Panthers.
But the goalkicker didn't wallow in self pity.
No, Marsters went to work.
"I just got back to thinking about my process and how much training I've done," the New Zealand representative said.
"I just wanted to come back here [training] and knuckle down. Get back to my process."

He did that.
And with the support of coach Michael Maguire and his teammates, he came out and kicked a perfect five from five as the Tigers beat the Broncos 22-16.
"I wasn't going too well [with my kicking] but to bounce back last week was good for myself," Marsters said.
"It gives me a lot of confidence.
"I had the boys backing me [too]. It just shows the culture we've got here."
Tamworth rugby league fans will have the chance to see Marsters' goal-kicking up close when the Tigers take on the Titans at Scully Park on April 27.
Marsters was part of the Tigers outfit that came to Tamworth last year and was looking forward to heading back.
"I think it's a great idea for the club and it's good to give back as well," he said.
"There's some die-hard fans up there [in Tamworth] and I'm sure there'll be a lot of Titans fans as well."
Prior to the Titans-Tigers clash at Scully Park, Farrer will clash with Forbes' Red Bend Catholic College in a curtain-raiser at 2.30pm.
There will also be an under 18s sprint race at half-time of the NRL game where the runners have the chance to win cash for their local footy club.
Tickets are still available for the round seven NRL fixture.
