Club organizing President Robert Bakker said there would be many top cars on show including the legendary and sporty Volvo P1800 marque which was made famous by appearing in the hit TV series of the 60s 'The Saint', starring Roger Moore.
The inaugural National Volvo Rally was held in Tamworth in 1989.
Rallies are held every two years throughout Australia and return to Tamworth after 30 years. A number of current members and cars participated at the first rally and are returning this year.
The event has a record number of entrants and over 85 Volvo cars from the 1950's to current models have registered from all parts of Australia and will be on display at the Council Carpark on White Street at the roundabout of White Street and Kable Avenue.
The display will be on Sunday 21st April from 10am to 1pm and everyone is invited to come along.
The National Volvo Rally would like to thank The Tamworth Regional Council, Wests Diggers and Woodleys Motors for financially supporting our Rally.
