The NSW Public Order Riot Squad and dog unit were in the town for a one-day operation targeting those on the run or wanted on outstanding court warrants.
"It's good to know that we can get the support of specialist units in remote parts of NSW which sends a message to people in the community that they can't hide forever and that we'll bring specialist police in to directly target them and their associates," Moree officer-in-charge Inspector Martin Burke said.
During the operation, the riot squad was involved in a search towards Mungindi and also attended a house in Grace Street, Moree.

"We'll intend to run similar operations over the coming months, targeting a variety of different things and utilising the support of specialist areas to assist," he said.
"This leads directly into our disruption strategy to target crime within the community.
"It's one part of our policing role. These kinds of operations will happen in conjunction with our other initiatives around the prevention of crime and working with stakeholder groups and youth organisations to provide a holistic policing response to the community."
