In July, the club will host the NSW Championship of Club Championships, which will see the best bowlers from across the state battling it out.
Hosting the event has become easier for the club, with Tamworth Regional Council agreeing to provide a one-off payment of $6000 to assist with associated costs.

South Tamworth was named as the hosting club for the next two years by Bowls NSW late last year.
The club will also host the state pennant finals over the next two years, an event which the council has also agreed to support.
Collectively the two events are expected to 168 players and competitors to the Tamworth region for a combined total of 10 days of competition.
The council estimates the economic benefits of hosting the events to the region will be between $88,000 and $179,000.
