The Geoff O'Brien trained Gelding proved too strong, finishing ahead of Evangelist in second and Hammon Ballad in third.
The Quirindi trainer said the four-year-old "ran a good race".
"He is just plain tough," O'Brien told the Leader.
"Every time we have asked him to step up he has done it.
"He toughs out each time and gets it done, which is really pleasing."

O'Brien said the efforts of Ryan were pivotal to getting the horse across the line.
"Greg has ridden him before, which always helps," he said.
"I think he needs a big long straight so Scone really suits him in that regard.
"It certainly helps having Greg aboard because he is a really good rider and you're going to win more races with him than you'll lose.
"The only problem can be that being so good Greg is in high demand, so you are happy when you can get him to ride for you."
The Quirindi trainer said he would "weigh up the options" for Chuck 'N' Paul's next race.
"I'm not too sure where will look to take him next but hopefully we can have Greg ride him again because out worked out really well this time around," he said.
"We will look for something else around here for sure, but I'm just not too sure where yet."
