At the March meeting, a motion went before council with a Narrabri business seeking permission for a suspension of the alcohol free area at Leitch Oval for a Narrabri AFL Club fundraiser and promotion.
However, following the motion and recommendation, the business paper contained all 18 pages of the application paperwork.
The personal details of a Narrabri businessman were published online in the digital version of the business paper, including his credit card number and its expiry date, phone number, email, residential address and place of birth.
Narrabri Shire mayor Cathy Redding declined an interview with the Leader.
The online version of the business paper has since been amended, with the paperwork containing the personal information removed.
It's understood council has offered a verbal apology to the man, who declined to comment on the matter.
In a statement, a council spokesperson said the administrative error had been rectified.
"In regards to the business paper issue, we have to the satisfaction of the concerned party, resolved this matter in a timely manner," a spokesperson said.
"Council prides itself on delivering exceptional services to our Shire and this is validated in being awarded the 2018 AR Bluett Memorial Award."
