Edwina Sharrock has been crowned the Telstra NSW Small Business Woman of the Year at a gala event in Sydney on Thursday night.
The top gong is another feather in the cap for the Birth Beat entrepreneur, who is revolutionising access to maternity programs and support as the business grows from strength to strength.
During her speech the Tamworth identity thanked "all the strong women that have helped me on the way", and as the only regional winner told the crowd how proud she was to have launched and based a successful business from her home town in regional NSW.
The entrepreneur has been the pin up girl for the UNE Smart Region Incubator, and incredibly was dressed by fellow incubator star Colleen Tighe Johnson, and her Buluuy Mirrii label.
"It was a very proud moment for me and the Birth Beat team, and so nice to be able to give a shout out to Colleen, she is amazing," Mrs Sharrock said.
The award caps off a big week for the brand, after the Baby and Child first aid course was launched on the digital platform on Tuesday, while a program helping mother's back into the workforce after having a baby is next in the pipeline.
"It has been a bit of a whirlwind week launching the Baby and Child program, then off to the awards and back to work on Friday," Mrs Sharrock said.
"Lucky I love it."
