The cycling challenge has four distinct distances ranging from a 15km roll in the picturesque countryside, to the gruelling 100km event for the seasoned cyclist, and everything in between.
Event chair Terry Robinson said that while only 50 registrations had been received on Tuesday, organisers are hoping for a field of over 200 riders.

"That is about on par with last year, but we are expecting perfect weather conditions so hoping to get a good roll up on the day," he said.
"People can register on the day but it would be nice to get the registrations in early so it is a bit easier to organise, and order enough steak sandwiches."
This year the event is raising funds for Youth Insearch, Billabong Clubhouse, Rotary Lodge and a domestic violence support program.
"We like to pick local charities that don't get the big dollars some others do, but make a big difference to local people," Mr Robinson said.
Pedal the Peel starts and finishes at the Moore Creek Tennis Club with first race starting at 7am, and entertainment, food and fun continuing into the afternoon.
