The Tamworth Stroke Support Group is in the process of putting a team together for the Hunter Stroke Olympics, and after sending three athletes down last year and bringing three medals home competition for a spot in the team is heating up.
President Nancy Hall is currently looking to gauge interest in the October 15 event, introducing a range of games and activities into the monthly support meeting including quoits, boche, skittles, dominoes and eucha.

"We would love to get enough people interested that we could take a local team to Newcastle for the day," Ms Hall said.
"If we can we would like to take most of our club - we always like going on social outings and this would be a great day to attend."
While the venue is yet to be confirmed, the event also includes a full day of events for carers of stroke survivors.
"It all happens in one day at the one venue which makes for a great social day out as well as a bit of competition and fun," Ms Hall said.
"We will be playing some of the games at meetings to keep the interest up and hope we can come home with some medals."
