Sam Baldock touched down in town last month, and is ready to take over Taylor Chiropractic, with 42 year veteran Dave Taylor set to crack his final back this Thursday.
Originally from Quirindi, Mr Taylor finished school and went straight to work at the local flour mill, soon saving enough money to head to America to study Chiropractics at Palmer College in Iowa.

Shortly after graduating he returned to Tamworth in 1977, working for Len Walsh before starting his own business on Murray Street in 1981.
"It has been a real honour to look after the people of Tamworth," he said.
"I consider many of my patients to be like family - I am now treating the fourth generation of some of them.
"I will miss the contact but I am looking forward to retiring and hope to give back to the community in other ways through the Lions Club and St Peter's Church."
Meanwhile the long term practitioner has no qualms leaving his business and clients in the hands of Mr Baldock, who took the scenic route from growing up and studying near Margaret River in Western Australia to Tamworth, via India and South America.
"I love everything outdoors - camping, mountain biking, fishing, hiking - and used to surf competitively," he said.
"I met a Brazillian through surfing who said there was a big need for chiropractors in South America so I went traveling and started running private practices and also doing a lot of volunteer work in remote villages."
After returning to Australia he heard "through a friend about what Dave had been doing and that he was retiring" and got in touch.
"I have big shoes to fill here, but so far I love Tamworth and living in the country - it's been amazing so far, and is only three hours from the surf," he said.
For the outgoing Mr Taylor finding the right person to hand over to was priority number one.
"It is wonderful to be able to hand my patients over to someone as highly qualified and experienced as Sam," he said.
