LESS than a year after forming, the Gunnedah Red Devils women's squad will have four members taking to the field at this weekend's NSW Country Womens Sevens Championships in Armidale.

Maddy Collision, Bec Smyth and Sarah Stewart will represent Central North, while Peta Lawrence will fly the flag for the club as part of the president's side.
Torika Nadruku and Abby Nortrup will also put on a strong showing for the club when they line up for Central North's 10's side against the Classic Wallaroos.

Stewart told the Leader she was eager to play sevens at representative level.
"I think all of us will go quite well during the country championships," Stewart said.
"To be honest, it would have been nice to maybe have a trial game or two before jumping into it, but it is still very exciting."
Stewart said the club's multiple representative selections was a testament to the group's progress.
"To go from only having one representative player in 2018 to having six females across three teams this year is extraordinary," she said.
"We have a lot to thank our coaches for and it will be really exciting to have Lincoln Stewart as an assistant for the sevens side as well.
"It is massive for us to have come this far in such a short time, I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next."
