Tamworth offers close to 20 quality primary schools and each one is distinct.
Liberty Christian Primary School started its life in 1999 as a ministry of Liberty Church, on the Sydney road just past the AELEC.
It's something that has always been close to the heart of Liberty's pastor, James Ardill.
"Every school has its advantages," he says. "Any one student would have a 'best' school.
"Because we are a small school, one thing we can offer is more help, more particular attention.
"We teach the NSW state curriculum, but from a God-centred viewpoint."
School principal, Susan Philp agrees: "It's very much a community and family-based school. Relationships with children and parents are a priority."
Liberty School is built unashamedly on two foundational principles: First, Jesus Christ is the Sovereign Creator of all things. Every student in the school is a unique individual formed with a God-created purpose and identity.
Second, Family is Best. The school is here to help parents raise their children and so the school practises and teaches Christian family principles and morals.
Staff and students are given the opportunity to develop respect for one another, encouraging each to love and do good works. Relationships are based on humility, communication and trust.
Liberty Christian Primary is celebrating its 20th birthday with four brand new, state-of-the-art classrooms, thanks to help from the federal government. It has a new amenities block, landscaping, play area and 42 happy young people who love being there.
More information about the school can be obtained from libertycollege.com.au
In the words of one parent, "I wish we knew about Liberty sooner".
