Gunnedah man arrested after police find 4.7kg of cannabis leaf in car

At about 12.05am on Tuesday, March 12, officers attached to Oxley Police District Criminal Investigation stopped a vehicle on Denman Road in Muswellbrook.
Police searched the vehicle and found 4.7 kilograms of cannabis leaf.

A 51-year-old Gunnedah man was arrested and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.
He was charged with two counts of supply an indictable quantity of cannabis and was refused bail.
The charges come after officers attached to Oxley Police District commenced Strike Force Yarramunmun, in January this year, to investigate the supply of cannabis in the Gunnedah and Muswellbrook areas.
