Here's what we've previewed in the lead-up to this, everything but, ordinary meeting.
Pools to go by 2023
A NEW aquatic centre with all the bells and whistles hinges on a $57 million commitment from the state and federal governments.
A 60 page business case has been prepared in order to woo both parties to finance the three year project.
If the new centre gets the green light from government the existing pools would be demolished by March 2023.
Hitch in solar plan
There's a hitch in Tamworth Regional Council's plan to put solar panels on the roof.
If the waterproof membrane on the building is punctured it voids the warranty.
The only way forward is a system with weights to hold the panels in place, that would add another 10,000kg to the roof and increase the price by $30,000.
