This Saturday, March 16, the Walcha Farmers’ Market will be back with all your favourite stalls including expresso coffee, pastries, egg and bacon rolls, smoked trout, olives, goat’s cheese, condiments, plants, goats milk soaps, wood turned items, alpaca products, Indian food and more!
Come along and see first-hand how our fabulous feathered friends get fluffed up for the Walcha Show, with The Walcha Poultry Club’s chook preparation demonstrations at 9.30am and 11.30am in McHattan Park.
Grab an entry for the Poultry Club’s colouring in competition, with the winners to be announced before the Walcha Show on March 22 & 23.
Come with the family or a group of friends and enjoy the terrific selection of stalls, and live music by Lionel Solomon from 10am to 11am.
“As always, don’t forget to bring along your excess produce, home cooking, eggs, plants and so on to the Community Stall. It is a great way of making extra money from your excess produce or cooking," Walcha Farmers' Market Secretary, Lisa Kirton said.
“Just drop your items off to the Community Stall anytime on market day and we will sell them for you. No application necessary and no requirement for you to stay the day. All proceeds from your sales will be given to you after the market, minus 20 per cent commission.
“It’s a great way for people to get involved in the markets and make some money without taking out their own stall.”
The Walcha Farmers’ Market is held on the third Saturday of the month (except during winter) from 8.30am-12.30pm in McHattan Park.
