Oxley police have been investigating an ongoing fraud matter, and following investigations, raided a home in Alma Street about 4.30pm on Wednesday.
During the search, police said seven unregistered firearms, ammunition and what they allege is an amount of cannabis was seized.
A 51-year-old was arrested at the scene by police and taken to Wee Waa Police Station to be questioned by police.
Following investigations, he was charged with possessing more than three unregistered firearms including one that is prohibited or a pistol - a charge that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years behind bars, if found guilty.

The man is also facing charges of not keeping a prohibited firearm safe, possessing ammunition without a licence and possessing a prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Wee Waa Local Court at the end of March.
Oxley police have confirmed the seized goods are subject to further investigations and inquiries are continuing.
