The young talent went up against winner Blake O'Connor on the big stage this year, losing the title hasn't stopped success.
Berman has just been announced as the recipient of the Market the Music Emerging Artist Scholarship that provides rising starts with a year of guidance.
She's also released her single Kiss Me Like You Miss Me.
Led by industry experts, Berman will be pushed to establish a firm foundation for her career.
"It’s been great to work with Market The Music over the last few months, so it is amazing that they selected me over all the great talent out there," she said.
"They have been a massive help to me.
"It is great that I can now work intensively with them for the next year thanks to this scholarship. I can't wait to get started!"
Australian fashion label Racy and Lucky have also endorsed Berman as a brand ambassador - its dressed Lady Gaga and fellow country star Kirsty Lee Akers.
For the Australian music industry to thrive, young talent needs to be recognised, Market the Music managing director Perrin Finlay-Brown said.
