A TAMWORTH man will front court next month after he was allegedly caught drink driving at more than double the limit the morning after.

Police were conducting random breath testing along Scott Rd in Tamworth when a 23-year-old man was stopped about 7.25am on Tuesday.
The man failed a roadside test and was arrested and taken back to Tamworth Police Station where police will allege he recorded a reading of 0.112 - more than double the legal limit.
He was charged with mid-range PCA and had his licence suspended on the spot to front court in March.
Meanwhile, an investigation is under way after a ute was stolen from an Oxley Vale business and dumped in nearby bushland in Tamworth.

The Mitsubishi Triton was last seen parked at the Curlew Crescent business about 5pm on Monday.
It was reported stolen by owners when they made the discovery about 5am on Tuesday and was found about an hour later dumped in bushland off Manilla Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who might have seen the Triton being driven in the Oxley Vale area.
And, a ute has been destroyed after it went up in flames in Tamworth on Monday night.
Emergency services were alerted to the car fire about 9pm in Green Street in Coledale but by the time it was extinguished, the white ute had been destroyed.
Police said the Toyota Hilux was registered to a Calala address but had not been reported stolen.
Officers confirmed on Tuesday an investigation was under way into the incident.
