The man was arrested on Friday after Tamworth police executed a search warrant at Central Avenue home and found the alleged culprit sleeping inside.
The teenager was charged at Tamworth Police Station with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, and armed with intent commit indictable offence.

The man appeared briefly in Tamworth Local Court on Saturday where he was refused bail and was scheduled to return before the courts on Monday.
The police allege the teenager, armed with a knife, confronted a 35-year-old man at an ATM near the Robert Street shopping complex at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The man was threatened and robbed of his cash before the armed man fled.
