Fires raging across already devastated landscapes have taken their toll on home, and livelihoods.
We have seen communities rally in support of those displaced neighbours and strangers.
We have seen a true sense of Aussie resilience rise above.
We just hope conditions ease for fire fighters staring down the barrel of this monster - so they can finally get the upper hand.
And maybe even a drop of rain - wouldn't that be nice!
Congratulations also to two very special ladies, Tamworth's Phyl Bylund and Joan Bull OAM of Moonbi, who both turned 101 years young recently.
A celebration with family and friends was on the agenda for both birthday girls - what a truly wonderful milestone.
And finally with Chaffey Dam sitting at just under 32.4 per cent, we're being reminded to watch our water use.
The trigger point for Level 3 is 30 per cent - and that's looking like it's not that far off.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
