Nathan Czinner and Jake McCann were chosen in the under 18 men’s state team while Lily Neilson and Mia Emanuel made the under 18 women’s side.
Chelsea Thornton was chosen in the NSW Blues side.
The five all earned their selection in the teams of 17 after being in Hockey NSW’s Accelarated Athlete Program.
The large AAP squad was chosen from last year’s state championships before the teams are narrowed down.
“From then on we had regional training sessions twice a week and the whole squad of 76 got together in Sydney once every three months,” Lily said.
“I was extremely relieved and thankful that all the hard work had paid off.”
The teams will head to Sydney in early April for two training sessions.
They will then head to Hobart for the championships on April 7 with the competition running from April 9 through to April 17.
