Water for Animals
I was wondering, because we can only water in the afternoon what do we do about giving water to our animals, are we only allowed to fill their water during the two hour window??
Also it’s so much fun to teach my parents how much water we use a day and prepare for tighter restrictions!
I think it would be so much fun for like an info night for residents to teach them how much water they use a day and what that looks like! I would be so in on that!
Anna Maher, South Tamworth
Barnaby Joyce has failed the Australian public. His behaviour with respect to his oversight of the water usage and water theft from the Murray Darling Basin has been irresponsible, indefensible and at the least morally criminal.
He should be held to account for his dereliction of office. His actions have indirectly involved large transference of wealth to the disadvantage of the Australian public.
Colin Schleiger, Altona
Will all those people, who voted for Barnaby Joyce at the last election, please tell us again how he has the interests of the farming community and the local community at heart?
Howard Springs, Northern Territory
Pretty rough when you are looking for water cheats, good onya secret police.
Most are against big brother, however, some people just love to be a dobber, hope it satisfies their urges. And the best part we don’t have to approach the residents.
See you in court.

Country music festival
I have lived in Tamworth for eight years and used to attend the festival before I moved here. One thing that I notice, and some like it, is the clubs and pubs have the same acts year after year which I think some are saying there is no difference – why come?
From working people that come on either weekend, even myself that work, your so-called big names are not here on weekends and only do one concert through the week.
Are they too special for Tamworth? Never have I seen a big park concert with all the big names sing a few songs.
If the Keith Urban Concert was a drought concert as far as his band goes, well I think the others could do more. If it is the reason they are here for their fans or is it just because the awards are here and they have to be here?
I didn’t mind Peel Street but the atmosphere has been lost since Bridge Street has been left with traffic. Fitzroy Street was a white elephant, bloody hot area.

Passing of Kevin Ward
My wife and I have known Kevin for many years, and have enjoyed our association with Kevin.
He tried to help us in difficult circumstances when we were up against unfair circumstances.
Kevin had a good heart, and always tried to help. I will miss him being around.
