And on Saturday afternoon, at the famed Belmore Sports Ground, the Year 10 Farrer student will start at five-eighth for the Knights against Canterbury, in round one of the annual under-16 competition.

The clash follows Henderson being put through about three months of training and pre-season games at the Knights, after the club identified him as a top talent last year.
“I’m pretty nervous, pretty keen,” Henderson said of the Bulldogs clash.
“It’s been a long wait for this. We’ve been doing pre-season for about 12 weeks now. So it’s good to finally get a round this weekend.”
The Tamworth 15-year-old said his immediate goal was to continually improve and to cement a spot in the side, with his long-term goal securing an NRL contract.
“That’s [the NRL] a long way down the road, though … But that’s the final result that I’d like,” he said.
