Event scheduling
I know that Tamworth is famous for the country music festival but no one I know will go because of the heat. It’s time to rethink the January event.

If it was a week in June or October that took in a long weekend I would definitely go to many events. In fact I have attended Christmas in July at The Dag and wished there has been more to go to at the same time. We took 6 people.
I have AirBNB accommodation in Armidale and none of my guests will go down in January the same reason. So basically I’m saying that you don’t need to hit businesses because the events would be more popular if the event was at a more suitable time of the year.

Water restrictions
Why does council wait so long?
Why did it take so long to bring water restrictions into place. Shouldn’t they have come in six months ago?

Tamworth Regional Council had its "spy" car in Manilla at 6.30 Wednesday morning. Did they catch anyone?, probably someone with dementia that does not remember.
How much did it cost ratepayers for the vehicle or vehicles, drivers and for the signage on the vehicles? Some villages and towns are or will be on buckets, are the staff from the "echelon" of TRC going to carry buckets for the elderly ratepayers. No!
On another point, Chaffey Dam has not been enlarged, it is now the size it was intended to be.

Manilla
Water should be taken from the Peel River for road works and not Chaffey Dam. Patrols are a good idea, hope this helps people misusing the water, as I do see hoses going on lawns early in the mornings when going for my walk. Also I think topping up of house hold pools should be stopped.

Perceived Shortfalls
The independent candidates latest letter to NDL has to be the greatest amount of waffle he has completed. I hope it’s not indicative of the standard of work we would be lumped with if he were somehow to be elected!
Mr. Rodda is a councillor of several years experience, but time and again he tries to paint a picture without himself in it.
The independent candidate should know full well that TRC is yet to make a funding submission for Port Stephens Cutting. Is he deliberately misleading voters by omitting this fact?!
He should also be aware that TRC and Gunnedah Shire Council agreed to make a joint submission for funding for Rangari Road last July, which is the first time these two councils have made such a commitment and brings more complexities. Again, is he deliberately misleading the public by omission?
No matter how Mr Rodda spins it, Kevin Anderson is delivering in truckloads for this electorate at a level not seen for many, many years. A quick look at the levels of funding on Mr. Anderson’s website is proof of him delivering much more than the previous independents ever could, not only for the large population bases, but also for the smaller communities of our electorate which the independents seem to forget. We can’t afford to go back to an independent.
