The time capsule was buried in 1989 in recognition of the school’s 70th anniversary.
It took some work just to locate the where the time capsule was buried, with the plaque marking its location covered in by about a metre of dirt and grass.
Former students gathered for the unveiling, but the contents remained a mystery, as the alumni struggled to remember exactly what they had placed in there.
Felicity Jagavkar, the school captain who buried the time capsule in 1989, was on hand to undo her handy work.
Then captain Riley Bomfield and vice captain Sam Buster took over and (very) carefully dug the capsule out, as it was buried close to a gas line.
Inside there were letters from students to their future selves, school year photos and projects from each class.
