Mark Allan McKinnon, 61, appeared in Glen Innes Local Court yesterday morning on two charges, after his arrest on Australia Day.
He did not enter a plea to a charge of procuring a child under 14 for unlawful sexual activity but pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing a prohibited drug.
Magistrate Mark Richardson adjourned the case until late February and continued McKinnon’s bail.
Police allege McKinnon approached an 11-year-old boy in a park on East Avenue about 1.30pm on January 26.
