They’re not used to the Tamworth heat but being kids want to be outside enjoying the space they don’t have in their Sydney apartment living.
As the burning sun becomes less extreme we head down to Peel street to see the buskers and some street entertainment. Total disappointment!!
Not one singer, not one whip cracker, not one band, not one poet, not one magician/clown, not one act of any sort could be found in Peel Street.
Even the majority of the stallholders were closed. Not that I wanted to buy a dress or another hat. I have my $2 special Toyota 2019 Country Music hat thank you TRC/Toyota, they are great.
Yes, the opening concert was on in the park, and a great concert it was but not for everyone.
Where is the great Tamworth Country Music experience? Where are the night buskers?
We don’t want to take the whole family into a pub or club, it’s just not what we are looking for.
It is too darn hot to walk the streets during the day with the family.
Why is there nothing for all the families from Tamworth and all the family visitors to look at in Peel Street at night.

Chaffey water
Tamworth Ratepayers paid a significant proportion of the Chaffey Dam upgrade. TRC should have at least one third of the water that falls and is stored in Chaffey Dam minus evaporation and transmission loss.
State Water’s choice to send water to irrigators and environmental flows should not impact on the above amount of water available to the city. Thus the decisions of State Water should not impact on water availability to Tamworth and subsequent water restrictions.
High fees are charged by State water and the NSW State Government for managing the water

The smell of dirty cattle trucks
Having just crossed Church Street on my way to work my senses were assaulted by the putrid stench of a urine soaked faeces drenched cattle or sheep transport vehicle passing down the highway.
Thank goodness for our beef and cattle farmers and their products, but can anything be done about this in a residential area. This happens time and time again.
I know the stock have to be moved, and the roads and highways are for just this purpose, and it would be unpractical for the vehicles to avoid all built up areas especially on their way to the sale-yards.
Perhaps there simply is no solution.
