New England police have been investigating following reports of thefts in the Ebor, Dorrigo, and Bellingen areas committed by people camped in the Cathedral Rock National Park, near Ebor.
Following investigations, officers went to a location at Ebor and recovered an ATV, a loaded .22 calibre pump action rifle, assorted ammunition, a knuckle duster, fridges, generators, cash, various power and non-power tools, trail cams, smashed National Park collection boxes and other goods.
Police claim the total value of the goods is more than $50,000.
Investigators also discovered what they allege is a cannabis plantation, with 193 plants seized from a netted and fenced area.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Armidale Police Station for questioning.
He was charged with unauthorised possession of firearm, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He was granted bail to front Armidale Local Court on Tuesday.
New England police said investigations into the goods are continuing and are appealing for public help to try and identify the owners of the suspected stolen goods that were recovered.
