Thousands of revellers got into the spirit of the day, taking to the streets of Tamworth and packing pubs or soaking up the live entertainment in the park or along the boulevard of dreams in Peel Street.
While many packed TRECC for the Golden Guitars, plenty of others made the most of the night in town.
The free Australia Day Tamworth Proud concert in the park drew a crowd on Saturday night, as fans battled stifling heat to hear the music.

Some even made the most, taking in the tunes from the Peel River as the mercury hovered in the low thirties for much of Saturday night.
The concert was capped off by a spectacular fireworks display – a tradition in Tamworth on Australia Day.
