The majority of water is coming from the emergency bore and the Pages River gallery.
Currently the bore is pumping 150,000 litres a day, but the town’s daily consumption is around 230,000 litres a day. It’s hoped the carted water will cover the shortfall.

Council is currently calling for tenders for the design and construction of the Scone to Murrurundi Water Pipeline, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
The project is estimated to cost $14.2 million.
