The one-time Star Maker winner turned country music megastar was in raptures after the Tamworth Town Hall gig, too.
Onboard the private jet that ferried him to Tamworth Country Music Festival about seven hours earlier, Urban said simply: “Thank you so much for the most amazing night tonight.
“Tamworth Town Hall – crazy, great energy, rowdy, packed, hot, loud passionate – it was so good.”
He also paid tribute to surprise his longtime friend and Australian star Kasey Chambers.
“Kasey Chambers, you are a legend. Thank you so much for coming and sitting with us tonight
“We haven’t played Tamworth in eight years and that was fricken epic.
“Thank you to everybody who made that possible and raised a lot of money for Rural Aid tonight and that’s really, really important.
“It was an amazing night. One for the record books.”
