Following on from the under-13s and under-18s, the Blues under-21s men and women both gold.
The men defeated Queensland 4-2 with Hazell slotting a double and Farmilo also finding the back of the net, before Doolan’s women’s side pipped an ACT side containing New England’s Tahlia Constance 1-nil.
Hazell put NSW ahead in the 13th minute of the decider only for Queensland to level four minutes later.
After captain Rhiley Carr had restored NSW’s lead in the 27th minute, Farmilo doubled it before Hazell sealed the victory with his 10th goal of the tournament.
He was the Blues’ leading goal-scorer and the second overall, his haul including a quartet in their 8-5 semi-final win over Western Australia.
The win was extra sweet for Hazell after having to settle for silver last year when beaten by ACT in the final.
Farmilo was eighth on the top goalscorer list with five.
Doolan meanwhile finished with three goals.
THE STORY SO FAR:
Both Blues sides were undefeated for the tournament, the men defeating ACT 3-2, Tasmania 5-2, Victoria 6-1 and drawing with Queensland and Western Australia 4-all in their round games while the women accounted for Victoria 7-2, Queensland 6-nil, Tasmania 6-1, ACT 5-1 and Western Australia 2-1 before dispatching of Victoria 5-1 in their semi-final.
Northern talent was sprinkled through several sides with New England’s Maible Chalmers and Bri Sutton playing for the Tasmanian women and Tamworth’s Claudia Nielsen Western Australia.
Neilsen was one of the tournament’s top goalscorers with six. Her WA side won the bronze after beating Victoria 5-1.
Constance will back up for ACT in the opens championships beginning on Wednesday while Britt Parker will suit up for the Tasmanian open women and Ben Hanlan the Tasmanian open men.
